The Minors level is generally for players that are 9 and 10 years old, and some 11 year olds. It is the first level where kids actually do live pitching to hitters. Kids are encouraged to develop their skills at many different positions and coaches try to move players around so they can experience and try numerous spots in the field.

Minors games are played on the Byrd Park fields. Before the regular season starts, Minor teams practice at least twice a week (usually once during the week and once on weekends). After the regular season starts, Minors teams usually have two, sometimes three, games per week (again, one during the week and one on the weekend). Minors teams may also conduct practices in between games. Although scores are tallied and games are counted as wins or losses, regular season standings are not kept and have no bearing on the postseason tournament. At the end of the regular season, there is a double-elimination playoff tournament to determine the champion.
